Dr. John Etcheverry

chiropractor

About

I've been a chiropractor since 1990. I have also been a chiropractic patient, suffering spine trauma and spine surgery, muscle injuries, broken bones, tendon sprains, etc.. It's has taken a lot to get my life back. I can honestly say, I've tried everything and the only consistent reliable source of functional improvement has been with chiropractic care on a consistent basis.

I am Board Certified in Addictionology and Co-Morbid Disorders, and my specialty is helping you maintain and sustain recovery and keeping you successful in long term sobriety. It's entirely possible that you can learn to manage and successfully adopt a health oriented lifestyle that sustains long term sobriety!

I use a few very specific adjusting techniques, all of which I'm certified and work to maintain that certification on an annual basis. I chose to specialize in these techniques for a very specific reason. I've had multiple spine and soft tissue injuries over the years and have tried many forms of chiropractic, acupuncture, myofascial release, osteopathy, homeopathy, medications, physical therapy, etc... The approaches I found the most helpful for me, are the ones I learned and mastered, so that I may help others. I want to use my challenges and successes, so I can use my life to help others who might be suffering and feeling hopeless.

As an Active Release Technique-Certified Practitioner, I focus on the nerves, muscles, tendons, etc...to release pain, swelling, adhesions and restricted motion to help you gain better functionality of movement. Some of the areas I focus on are; Nerve entrapments, myofascial pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, sprain/strains, pain, stiffness, text neck, computer workstation ergonomics, etc… I was able to learn certain aspects of this great technique directly by the inventor of ART and my mentor, Dr. Michael Leahy, D.C.

With TRT (Torque Release Technique), which is extremely accurate and does not require that the patient get bent or twisted, etc... This was invented by and developed by my mentor, Dr. Jay Holder, D.C. He developed this technique and the only FDA approved Chiropractic adjusting instrument, to become the first Chiropractor published in CELL.

t I like most about this technique is the patient is able to lay face down in a comfortable position and get adjusted without movement or bending or twisting. It is a precise method of adjusting and extremely safe. TRT technique is perfect for those that do not like getting "cracked and popped".

for those who do want a more traditional adjustment, I'm happy to do that too.

3rd mentor, is the great Dr. Peter Goldman, D.C. He's been my doctor and my mentor in the Zone School of Healing. This particular method of Chiropractic has made a profound level of change for me on physical, emotional and spiritual levels and re-ignited my passion to become a better healer. By using ZONE TECHNIQUE, I can quickly and accurately pinpoint health concerns and apply corrective actions to facilitate nerve flow directly to the brain.

Patients just get better at getting better.

I live/ work in San Francisco with my lovely wife Alison and our wonderful Italian Greyhound- Jack McCoy.
